Oli de Mallorca
Olive oil with the DO Oli de Mallorca quality seal was present at the First Local Product Fair that was installed in S’Hort del Rei from February 28 to March 2 on the occasion of the celebration of the Illes Balears Day.
Promoted by the Conselleria d’Agricultura, Pesca i Medi Natural, the fair attracted a large number of people interested in knowing the different food products that are made in the Balearic Islands, represented in this edition by more than thirty producers who presented a good sample of oils, cheese, wines, sobrassada, honey, meats of local breeds, among others.
Visitors had chance to know about the unique characteristics of Extra Virgin Olive Oils from Mallorca with the tasting of different references under the quality distinctive, including single variety, coupage, as well as some of organic.
The participation of the DO Oli de Mallorca in the I Local Product Fair has been supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, FOGAIBA and the Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación.
