A couple of decades ago this beautiful tree was carried to the city from a Pollen\u00e7a ranch in order to be planted in de Cort square, as a symbol of \u201cpeace and rooted to the earth\u201d.<\/p>\n

If we look closely we can find some very curious shapes, like an ear called \u201cThe ear of Mallorca\u201d or the face of a puppet. This is a tree that is catalogued and protected by the 6\/1991 Law for protection of single trees.<\/p>\n

How to get there?
\n<\/b>The de Cort Olive tree is found in the middle of the square of the same name, in Palma, just in front of the Mallorcan capital\u2019s Council House.<\/p>\n
